The victims were rushed to Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital where Ram was declared dead on arrival. He suffered severe head injuries and multiple fractures, police said. Constable Ashwini is recuperating with minor injuries in his leg and left arm.
Police said Ram,a 1974-batch officer,is survived by two sons, both constables with the Delhi Police. His daughter married recently.
