World Dance Day celebrations continue at India Habitat Centre (IHC) with “Spandan”,a week-long festival,organised by R Sreenivasan and IHC. On display is an exhibition on the “World of Dance”,celebrating the human spirit in open spaces,till May 5. Apart from the exhibition,May 3 will bring photographer Avinash Pasricha for a session on “Dance,through my lens”,with Bharatanatyam dancer Geeta Chandran,and art critic and curator Alka Pande,moderated by dance critic Leela Venkataraman.

The same day will host five dancers from around the world for “World of Dance” performances. From Colombian dancer Carolina Prada’s chhau performance to Nikolina Nikoleshi from Croatia and her Bharatanatyam rendition,one will also see Paola Santa Cruz from Peru with a flamenco performance and Quincy Kendell Charles,from Trinidad & Tobago,presenting a Kathak performance. Entry is free.
