A sanitation worker at Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) has been arrested for allegedly filming the wife of a professor while she was taking a bath, Monday morning, said police.
Police said the woman was taking a shower when the accused, 26-year-old Rajiv, a contractual sanitation worker at the university, started filming her. On hearing a sound, the woman noticed the man recording her and raised an alarm, alerting security guards and other residents.
The accused was caught and handed over to police.
Police said he was also allegedly performing lewd acts. They seized his mobile phone and deleted the video.
According to police, the accused had allegedly been keeping an eye on the professor’s
residence, lurking around the bathroom and other parts of the house, for the past few days.
