The Meteorological department has predicted a maximum temperature of 38 degrees Celsius on Thursday
* Electors required to carry electronic photo identity cards. Those without photo ID should carry alternative documents for identification:
* Passport
* Driving licence
* Income tax identity cards
* Service identity cards (with photo) issued to employees of State/Central government,public sector undertakings,local bodies,public limited companies. These should be photo identity cards.
* Passbooks of public sector banks/post office and kisan passbooks with photo.
* Job cards issued under NREGA
* Voter assistance booths being set up at all polling premises with more than 2 polling stations to assist people in ascertaining their serial number and part number of electoral roll containing name

To beat the heat,the election office has made the following arrangements:
* Drinking water facility at polling premises
* Each polling party being supplied with ORS to tackle problems of dehydration
* Electors advised to carry wet towels to protect themselves against heat and dehydration,and not bring children to polling stations
* Ramps provided at polling stations for the disabled
* Returning officers advised to make separate lines for senior citizens and physically challenged persons
* Delhi Metro to start trains at 4 am
