Ranbir and the Glass Elevator

The glass elevator at Centrestage Mall in Noida had a special visitor on Tuesday. “Ran-Bir. Ran-Beer,” a young girl shouted. Ranbir Kapoor and Imtiaz Ali,the star and director respectively of the forthcoming film,Rockstar,turned up at the mall to unveil the poster of the film before they went to the Nizamuddin Dargah. After the first sighting,the actor disappeared for several minutes but the elevator

continued to travel up and down. In the lobby,swelling crowds pointed at it,wishing Rockstar Ranbir would materialise. He did. Dressed in a green kurta and sleeveless jacket,Kapoor blew kisses,threw Rockstar T-shirts at hysterical youngsters and made everybody repeat the lyrics of the song Sadda Haq. In 20 minutes,

the show ended as dramatically as it had begun — the stars went up and down the elevator

before disappearing.
