With the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) stepping up its attack on the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) over the alleged assault of Delhi Rajya Sabha MP Swati Maliwal, former Madhya Pradesh CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan likened the “insult” meted out to her to Draupadi, and the AAP to the mythical Kauravas. Accusing the AAP of having turned into ‘Arrogant Aadmi Party’, Chouhan said the party’s “arrogance” was such that when a woman visits Kejriwal's home, he does not hesitate to behave rudely with her. He said that this is the same land where the insult of one Draupadi destroyed the entire clan of Kauravas. Six events a day: Kejriwal holds ‘Nukkad Sabhas’ Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal addressed six ‘Nukkad Sabhas’ in South Delhi on Sunday. In the last leg of the poll campaign — Delhi votes on May 25 —Kejriwal, who is out on interim bail, has been holding multiple public rallies in different parts of the city. He is campaigning for both AAP and Congress candidates as the two parties are in alliance. During Sunday’s meetings, he claimed that Prime Minister Narendra Modi had opposed free bus travel for women. “As long as I am alive, free bus travel for women will continue,” he said.
