The music called out to the footloose to fill the dance floors, the aroma of food wafted in the breeze, and the graffiti-covered walls wore colourful testimony to new-age angst but it was something else that gave the event its edge. Everybody was welcome,as long as they were accompanied by their pets, said Rohan Kulshreshtha,28,who has conceptualised the monthly gigs called Dog Day Afternoons.
The first Dog Day Afternoon was held in December, and the last one was on January 28 at Asola Farms in Chhatarpur. A few hundred people, accompanied by their labradors and pugs, turned up.
Animals are free to meet one another,as owners mingle among themselves, said Kulshreshtha. The music line-up included The Jazz Bastards and Teddy Boy Kill among others. Held on the last weekend of every month, the next Dog Day Afternoon will be on February 25 from 1pm.
