The parents of two children who went missing from Noida and Ghaziabad in the last month have approached Jahnvi’s family — the three-year-old girl who was abducted from India Gate lawns and was found a week later after a sustained social media campaign. Tarun Grover, Jahnvi’s uncle, told Newsline that the families of 18-month-old Abhinav Singh and 14-year-old Jyoti Bharti have contacted them and were being assisted in spreading the word on their missing children. On September 26, Abhinav disappeared while playing outside his residence in Noida. Babulal Bharti, Jyoti’s father, said his daughter also went missing in early September. “She had missed her school bus as she thought she had forgotten a book at our home in Loni. Neighbours said she then took an auto, which had two other men in it, to reach her school on time. But she has not been seen since and police have also not been cooperative,” the father said. “Both families have approached me so that their children can be found like Jahnvi was. The idea is that technology can be used to spread the word on missing children. The parents met me in my office and I have directed them to use various media platforms to spread the word,” Tarun Grover said. Vaibhav Aggarwal, entrepreneur and a friend of Jahnvi’s family, has also started an online forum called “Bring Back the Lost”, drawing inspiration from Jahnvi’s return. "A lot of my work concerns social media. When Jahnvi went missing on September 28, I was called by Tarun Grover. I set up the Facebook page, Bring Back Jahnvi, and that bore fruit," Aggarwal said. "I realised that with a little effort, many families could be reunited. The "Bring Back Jahnvi" forum gave birth to “Bring Back the Lost”. It has become a very popular Facebook page and is now a website as well," Aggarwal said. "People can post details of their missing children on the site. Efforts are also being made to ensure that maximum details of the missing children are given out. Based on the information, we will also start to send out press releases on the children," he said.
