The annual Jiwan Pani Memorial Festival,organised by Sonal Mansingh’s Centre for Classical Dances,begins in the Capital on April 2. And this time,it promises a couple of melodic evenings at the India Habitat Centre,followed by a new feature,an award ceremony. The inaugural day will have Dhrupad vocalists Gundecha Brothers,followed by the eminent vocalist Pandit Chhannulal Mishra on the second day. On the last day,the poet Sitakant Mahapatra will receive the first Jiwan Ratna Award from the lyricist Gulzar. For details,contact 9811421072.
