Missing nine-year-old boy’s body found

The body of a nine-year-old boy,who had gone missing on August 29 evening,was found in Ghaziabad’s Mohammadpur area on Tuesday.

The body of a nine-year-old boy,who had gone missing on August 29 evening,was found in Ghaziabad’s Mohammadpur area on Tuesday.

A Class IV student of Ordnance Nari Kalyan Samiti School,Moradnagar,Rithik Kumar had gone to the market on Saturday evening to buy some household items,but did not return home,the boy’s family had stated in the FIR lodged at the Moradnagar police station.

Kumar’s family also named five persons,including one Mukesh who lived as a tenant with the family and had reportedly also disappeared the same day Kumar went missing.

The police detained all five named by the family,including two women,for interrogation. The police identified the accused as Shakeel and his wife Leela alias Shakeela who are residents of Radhe Shyam Colony,Dhanno,Sunita and Mukesh — all residents of Modinagar.

“All of them are residents of Radhe Shyam Colony and Modinagar. One of them lived as a tenant with the victim’s family. According to the family members,the tenant,Mukesh,also disappeared the day the boy went missing,” the police said.

“Passersby noticed the boy’s body,whose throat was slit. The police was informed in the morning,” a police officer said.

The station house officer of Moradnagar,Rashid Ali,is interrogating the persons named by the family for the murder and kidnapping. “We are investigating the matter,” Akhil Kumar,SSP,said.
