Manu parole: Govt passes buck to police

The Delhi Government,under attack for granting parole to Jessica Lall murder convict Manu Sharma,rejected the South District police’s claim on Thursday. The police had claimed that he had been granted parole despite their adverse remarks. A senior government official said: “The report filed by Delhi Police was not clear and police are equally responsible for it… no mistake was committed by the Delhi government in granting parole to Sharma. “The police saw him in a night club. Why did they inform us about it on Monday? We could have cancelled his parole.”
