Man held for molesting minor

A 20-year-old man was arrested for allegedly molesting a 12-year-old girl in Khirki village, South Delhi, on Tuesday night.
Police said the girl had gone with her father to buy ice-cream when the incident took place.

The girl’s father was standing a few metres away from her when the accused, Ajay, grabbed her hand, police said. The girl raised alarm following which locals beat up Ajay and handed him over to police.

Ajay, who hails from Nepal, was in an inebriated condition at the time of the incident. He has been booked under Section 354 (molestation) of the IPC and under the POCSO Act, police said.
