Man calls police after killing brother-in-law in domestic dispute in Delhi
A 24-year-old man stabbed his brother-in-law to death in Delhi's Khichripur area after he allegedly threatened to kill his sister.

A man has murdered his brother-in-law in a domestic dispute in East Delhi’s Khichripur area and called the police, they said, adding that he was arrested and the victim’s body was found wrapped in a mat at the crime scene.
Apoorva Gupta, Deputy Commissioner of Police (East), said on Tuesday that Manish Kumar, 24, had confessed to killing Abhisek aka Hallan and locking the body in a room on November 2.
The police said they received a PCR call at 10.31 pm on the day about a quarrel at 8 Block in Khichripur, and found the caller in the kitchen of the third floor of his home. When they broke open the adjacent room, the police found blood splattered everywhere. The victim’s body had multiple stab wounds on the neck and forehead, they added.
The police found out that Kumar’s sister Komal had married Abhisek against their family’s wishes around two years ago, but Abhisek started harassing his sister soon after the marriage. Abhisek would ask his wife for money to meet his unjustified demands and beat her up if she refused to oblige him, according to Kumar. Komal later returned to her parental home.
“Manish said that on the day of the incident, a seemingly drunk Abhisek had come to his home to take Komal back. When she refused to go back, he took out a knife and threatened to kill everyone,” DCP Gupta said, adding that Kumar then allegedly smashed his brother-in-law’s head against a grindstone, before stabbing him multiple times on his head and throat.
An associate of Manish, Mukesh Kumar, was arrested in the case on Monday, with the police saying he had also hit Abhisek at the instance of Kumar.
“Both wrapped the body in a mat and intended to dump it. Mukesh locked the room from outside and left with the keys,” the DCP said.
The police said they have recovered the blood-stained murder weapon and clothes along with a heavy stone, a mat and a bedsheet.
Komal and her younger sister Payal lived in the house along with Kumar and their father Sant Ram and mother Seema.
