DIAL officials said these routes will cause some delays. The most affected routes will be from IGI Airport to South Delhi and New Delhi.

For residents of New Delhi and South Delhi who want to get to the airport, they will have to first go to Ring Road and then move towards RTR Marg and then UB Marg to reach Terminal-1. To reach New Delhi from the IGI Airport, passengers cannot take the Dhaula Kuan route but have to move towards RTR Marg and then towards Ring Road.

This would cause a delay of at least 40-50 minutes, the police said, adding that people must leave with adequate time in hand, in case they have a flight to board or have to urgently reach somewhere after their flights have landed.

Police said people at IGI Airport can take cabs to hotels/homes using other roads such as Punjabi Bagh Chowk, Ring Road and Najafgarh Road.
