Peeragarhi factory owner gets bail

A day after being arrested,Narendra Singla,owner of the shoe factory in Peeragarhi,where 10 people lost their lives in a fire,was out on bail. Singla had been arrested on Friday on charges of causing death due to negligence. “Singla said the NOC obtained from the Fire department was destroyed in the blaze. We have contacted the Fire department for the original copy,” said V Renganathan,DCP (West).

Man charred to death in restaurant fire

A 23-year-old man working at a restaurant was charred to death after a fire broke out in Mayapuri,West Delhi. Five others were also injured. The incident was reported around 5.15 am at Star Hotel. A probe revealed that an LPG cylinder was leaking and someone lit a matchstick unknowingly. The victim,Raju,got trapped in the bathroom. A case has been registered.
