Holiday on Ambedkar birth anniversary,Mahavir Jayanti
New Delhi: Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit on Monday announced April 14 as holiday on the occasion of birth anniversary of B R Ambedkar. The holiday has been declared under the Negotiable Instrument Act. The government also announced April 16 as gazetted holiday on the occasion of Mahavir Jayanti. The holiday on Mahavir Jayanti was notified earlier by the government.
Body of man in 20s found near Govindpuri Metro station
New Delhi: A body of an unidentified man,who appears to be in the early 20s,was found near a Southeast Delhi Metro station on Monday morning with severe external injuries. Police said injury marks on the face were apparent. The body was spotted by a pedestrian near the Govindpuri Metro station on Monday morning. The victim was rushed to to a nearby hospital by the police where he was declared dead on arrival. The assailants brutally attacked his face to prevent detection, said a senior police officer.
