With the world celebrating World Dance Day on Wednesday,Bharatnatyam performer Sunita Menon found the perfect opportunity to pay tribute to her art. Menon,29,who runs a Bharatnatyam school,Kaladarppanam,in Rohini,performed with 16 disciples at Delhi’s LTG Auditorium. The signature item was Menon’s performance of Saraswati Kriti,a prayer to the goddess. The tillana,the finale of the hour-long performance,was performed by 11 young students. “I needed a platform to introduce my students,what better day than Dance Day?” smiled Menon.
