Gurgaon takes fake NOC case seriously, forms scrutiny panel

The Gurgaon administration has lodged an FIR against a resident of Arjun Nagar for producing a fake no-objection certificate for getting the sales deed of a plot registered at the tehsil office.

The Gurgaon administration has lodged an FIR against a resident of Arjun Nagar for producing a fake no-objection certificate (NOC) for getting the sales deed of a plot registered at the tehsil office.

After the issue came to light, the administration constituted a three-member committee for scrutinising NOCs issued during the week. Senior officers of district administration and HCS level officers will constitute the committee, and its members will be changed periodically.

An FIR has been lodged against Rakesh at the Khandsa Road police post. Rakesh had come along with the seller,Sanjay Khanna,a resident of Madanpuri, and the buyer,Raj Rani, hailing from Shivpur,to register the sales deed of the plot.

When the documents were scrutinised,it was found that the signatures of a registry clerk were forged. Further probe showed that the NOC,shown to be issued by the DTP office (bearing dispatch number 5704) on November 28,was also fake. It was revealed that the DTP’s signature had also been forged.

DTP office confirmed that the NOC was not issued by them, following which officials registered the FIR.

Following this,Deputy Commissioner P C Meena formed a committee to scrutinise such NOCs to ensure that there is no fraudulent production of such documents. He also wrote to the MCG Commissioner and DTP,asking them to constitute similar committees. Meena said that NOCs issued from their offices must be examined periodically to nullify the scope for fraud in sales deed registration.
