The accused have been identified as Brajesh Kumar Singh (40), Aman Tripathi (23), Randhir Mishra (23), Ankit Mishra (26)—all residents of Ghaziabad—and Amit Pandey (26), from Bisrakh. Five drunk people attacked a security guard at residential society in Greater Noida West after he tried to stop them from creating ruckus, police said, adding that the assailants were arrested Saturday.
The incident took place on Friday night at the Samridhi Grand Avenue Society in the Bisrakh police station limits, according to the Gautam Buddha Nagar police, which identified the accused as Brajesh Kumar Singh (40), Aman Tripathi (23), Randhir Mishra (23), Ankit Mishra (26)—all residents of Ghaziabad—and Amit Pandey (26), from Bisrakh.
CCTV footage of the incident, which went viral on social media, showed a few men drinking and making gestures at the guard. The group of men was also seen entering the guard’s room and attacking him with sticks and slapping him.
The police said they took action against the accused after receiving a complaint from residents saying the men were creating nuisance while drinking alcohol on the housing society’s premises.
