Greater Noida: 14-year-old falls to death from 22nd floor of high-rise
"The boy, who studied in Class 7, fell off the railing on the 22nd floor of a tower and died on the spot. Further legal proceedings in the case are underway," said a police spokesperson.

A 14-year-old boy died on Wednesday after falling from the 22nd floor of a high-rise housing complex near Greater Noida, said police.
An investigation is underway to ascertain if the boy died by suicide or it was an accident, said police, adding that the incident took place in Supertech Eco Village III society, which falls under the jurisdiction of the Bisrakh police station.
“The boy, who studied in Class 7, fell off the railing on the 22nd floor of a tower and died on the spot. Further legal proceedings in the case are underway,” said a police spokesperson.
Officers said his parents had no idea how the incident took place.
“He was living with his parents and younger sister on the second floor of the said tower. Around 5 pm on Wednesday, he told his family members that he was going out to play, but went to the terrace. An investigation is underway to ascertain the cause of the death,” said a police officer.
In a similar incident, a Class 12 student residing in Mahagun Mywoods society died by suicide on February 22 this year, after jumping from the 22nd floor of his building — within hours of appearing for the board examinations.
