With the Economic Offences Wing (EOW) taking up an inquiry following allegations of rigging in the DDA’s Housing Scheme, officers of the EOW paid another visit to the DDA’s headquarters on Wednesday morning. “We are cooperating with the EOW. They looked through all records pertaining to the housing scheme and asked for other documents as well,” a senior DDA official said.

DDA’s three-member internal inquiry board has, meanwhile, said its report into the alleged scam is likely to be ready by January 24. Earlier in the day, complainant Udit Raj questioned the veracity of the DDA board inquiry. “They reportedly intend to complete the inquiry in three days. I fail to see how anyone can go through over 5 lakh applications in such a short time,” he said.

The DDA,however, rubbished his claims. “The draw for waiting list applicants is part of the main draw. The successful numbers are picked from the computer randomised numbers,” said Neemo Dhar,Director,Public Relations,DDA.
