Engineer found dead in his rented room

Police said the body was highly decomposed and the landlord alerted them after noticing a foul smell coming from the apartment.

Dushyant Pal Singh (28) had come to Delhi from Jaipur and was staying at the Saraswati Vihar house with two friends since the past five months. Police said his friends had gone home for Holi and that was the reason why the Singh’s death came to light so late.

No suicide note has been recovered yet.

“We were informed by the house owner about the stench coming from the room. He said no one was responding to his knocks either. A police team broke open the door to find the victim hanging,” said Jagdish,an investigator from Sector 29

police station.

Officials said the room was in a mess. The post-mortem examination of the body has not been conducted yet and Singh’s relatives have been informed,police said.
