Elvish Yadav house firing: man nabbed in encounter, being questioned for suspected involvement in case, say Faridabad police
The Faridabad police said the man, suspected to be involved in the Elvish Yadav house firing incident, opened fire when he was stopped by a team from the Crime Branch near Faridpur village on Tigaon Road.

(Source: Express Photo)The Faridabad police said Friday they have arrested a wanted criminal after an encounter, and are interrogating him for his possible involvement in Sunday’s incident, where three masked assailants opened fire at the Gurgaon house of YouTuber Elvish Yadav.
A police spokesperson said the man was on the run and wanted in multiple serious criminal cases, and has been identified as Ishant alias Gandhi.
According to the police, Gandhi opened four rounds of fire from a 26 bore gun when he was stopped by a team from the Crime Branch, Sector 30, between 4 am and 4.30 am near Faridpur village on Tigaon Road. He tried to flee on a bike, triggering an exchange in which he sustained injuries.
He was taken to a hospital under police guard.
The spokesperson said more details will be shared soon.
Three masked men fired more than two dozen shots outside the house of Elvish Yadav in Gurgaon’s Sector 57 early Sunday, when he was not at home.
Even as the bullets hit the first floor and the stilt area of the three-storey building, no one was injured in the firing. Yadav’s family lives on the second floor.
The Himanshu Bhau Gang claimed responsibility for the attack hours after the incident. In a post on Instagram, the gang said Elvish Yadav was targeted, as he promoted betting platforms.
The Gurgaon police lodged a First Information Report (FIR) on charges of attempt to murder, criminal acts by multiple accused with common intention, and offences under the Arms Act.
