Elderly woman killed in Moti Nagar

A 70-year-old woman was murdered at her residence in B Block,New Moti Nagar,West Delhi on Saturday. Police said they suspected that the murderer was known to the woman as her jewellery and other valuables were found intact.

Police said her son Vinod and his wife had left for their offices around 10 am. Around 2.45 pm,Vinod returned home. The door of the house was found open. “In the bedroom,he found his mother’s body,” a senior police officer said. Sheela had been stabbed twice,on her abdomen and chest,police said. “While some articles in the room had been misplaced,Sheela’s bangles,necklace and earrings were intact. Nothing was taken from the cupboard. Police have registered a case of murder.
