A man, identified as 23-year-old Dilawar Singh, and a juvenile have been arrested, police said, adding that the second juvenile and two others are still at large. The incident was reported at 1.30 pm on Tuesday.

The accused persons were playing cricket in a park adjacent to the house of the differently abled man,Jaswant, while his mother Amrita was standing with one of her grandsons outside. During the course of the game, the ball landed near Amrita and the grandson.

“Amrita told the boys to be more careful as the ball had come close to hitting her grandson. This infuriated

Around that time,Jaswant intervened. The argument turned violent, and the accused allegedly assaulted Jaswant with a cricket bat until he fell to the ground bleeding.

Following that, the five accused persons fled from the spot, leaving Jaswant in a pool of blood.
