
The Yamuna river level reached 207.46 metres at noon on Thursday at Delhi’s Old Railway Bridge, with floodwater continuing to inundate nearby areas. The IMD has forecast light to moderate rain with thunderstorms across Delhi, urging residents to stay cautious. Floodwaters reached areas close to Delhi Secretariat, which is home to the chief minister, cabinet ministers and key bureaucrats. Low-lying areas like Mayur Vihar Phase I were also submerged in water.

The flood control bulletin on Wednesday evening stated that the water level at Old Railway Bridge will be 207.48 metres at 8 am and is likely to decrease thereafter.
Approach road leading to Yamuna Bank Metro Station inaccessible: Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) released a statement saying that the approach road leading to Yamuna Bank Metro Station is currently inaccessible due to a surge in the water levels of the Yamuna River. It further urged commuters to plan their journeys accordingly and consider alternate routes. “Due to the escalating water levels of the Yamuna River, the approach road leading to Yamuna Bank Metro Station is currently inaccessible. The station is operational and interchange facility is available,” DMRC said in a statement.
