Threat received via email: According to a police officer, the mail received by St Stephen’s College stated that a bomb was planted in the library of the college. Local police, along with the Bomb Detection Team (BDT) and Bomb Disposal Squad (BDS), conducted a search operation but did not find anything suspicious on the premises.
Similar threat received at three schools in Delhi: A similar bomb threat was received at three schools in Delhi Monday morning, prompting the authorities to conduct searches, but later the police declared the calls a hoax. These were the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) School in Rohini’s Sector 14, the Navy School in Chanakyapuri, and another CRPF School in Dwarka’s Sector 16. The officer stated that legal action is being taken, and the cyber units of the respective district police are conducting a proper inquiry into the bomb threats in their areas.

Delhi Today Live News Update: At least three schools in the national capital received bomb threats on Monday morning (July 14). The Delhi police received calls around 8 am regarding the bomb threats from CRPF Schools in Prashant Vihar and Dwarka Sector 16, as well as another school in Chanakyapuri, said a police official. "Police teams immediately moved in to check the school premises," he said.
Deputy Commissioner of Police (Dwarka) Ankit Singh said, "Early on Monday morning, Dwarka North police station received a PCR call informing about bomb threat at CRPF School here. The area was promptly sanitised. Local police, sniffer dogs and bomb disposal squads reached the school and conducted due checks."
"Security has been tightened in the school. Nothing suspicious has been found so far," the DCP said.

Delhi airport issued an advisory on Monday morning as the national capital woke up to light showers.
“Delhi is experiencing inclement weather conditions. Our on-ground teams are working diligently with all stakeholders to ensure your journey remains hassle-free. Passengers are advised to consider alternative modes of transport, including the Delhi Metro, to reach the airport and avoid potential delays. For the latest flight information, passengers are advised to contact their respective airlines,” the advisory read.

Humidity levels were recorded at 100 per cent at 8.30 am.
The maximum temperature is expected to settle at around 33 degrees Celsius.

While it rained, the weather department recorded strong winds, with speeds reaching 55 kmph in Palam, 57 kmph in Pragati Maidan, and 37 kmph in Mayur Vihar.
As of 7.30 pm, Pragati Maidan had recorded 21 mm of rain, while the Safdarjung observatory, Delhi's primary weather station, reported 13 mm.
Other areas saw varying rainfall: Pusa received 11 mm, Mehrauli 10 mm, Gurugram 19 mm, Narayana 7 mm, and Janakpuri 8 mm.
The weather department, in its latest forecast, said a cloud mass approaching from the southeast may cause light to moderate rainfall accompanied by thunderstorms and lightning over parts of Delhi-NCR.
Sunday's maximum temperature was recorded at 38.4 degrees Celsius, while the minimum settled at 25.1 degrees Celsius -- 2.2 notches below the season's average.
For Monday, the department has forecast cloudy skies and moderate rainfall across the city. The maximum and minimum temperatures are expected to hover around 33 and 26 degrees Celsius.
The air quality was recorded in the 'satisfactory' category at 4 pm on Sunday, with an Air Quality Index (AQI) reading of 86, Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB) data showed.
An AQI between zero and 50 is considered 'good', 51 to 100 'satisfactory', 101 to 200 'moderate', 201 to 300 'poor', 301 to 400 'very poor', and 401 to 500 'severe', according to the CPCB.
