Delhi News Highlights: A massive fire has broken out at Dilli Haat, an open market area situated in the Kidwai Nagar area of the national capital. According to information, the fire brigade received a call at 8.55 pm, following which it rushed 13 fire tenders to the spot. Around 25 to 30 shops have been gutted in the fire.

Draft Bill to regulate school fees: Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta Tuesday announced that the Delhi Cabinet has approved a draft bill to regulate fees in all schools of the Capital amid recent complaints of arbitrary hikes. Addressing a press conference, Gupta referred to the step taken by the Delhi government as “historic,” and “brave”. “We have passed a draft bill in the cabinet meeting, applicable to all 1,677 aided and unaided private schools, to fix guidelines and procedures for fee hikes,” she said.

Delhi weather today: A day after respite from the heat, the maximum temperature in Delhi settled at 37 degrees Celsius while the minimum temperature settled at 25.8 degrees Celsius, two notches above normal for the season. The skies are expected to remain partly cloudy, with temperature to remain under 40 degrees Celsius for the next couple of days, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) predicted. The air quality was recorded in the ‘moderate’ category as the Air Quality Index (AQI) at 9 am stood at 193.
