Delhi: Hoax bomb call disrupts service at Patel Nagar metro station

Metro officials said trains did not stop at the station from 7.20 pm to 8.34 pm in view of the threat and people inside the station were evacuated.

Trains did not stop for over an hour at Patel Nagar metro station in the capital on Sunday after a hoax call about a bomb outside the station premises.

According to the police, the police control room received a call around 7.15 am by an unidentified person, who reported about a potential bomb outside the metro station premises.

A police team, along with bomb disposal squad, was rushed to the spot but no explosives or any such unattended object was found, said DCP (Central) Parmaditya.

He added that the police are now tracking the person who called up the police control room and action might be taken against him. Services were resumed at the station, which is on the blue line, after police gave its clearance.
