‘Delhi and Uttarakhand have a close connection’: CM Dhami urges voters to support BJP’s East Delhi pick

Addressing the gathering, Dhami said, “There is close connection between Delhi and Devbhoomi Uttarakhand... East Delhi has been a stronghold of BJP since the Jan Sangh era and we all have to bring Modi ji for third time with 400 paar.”

Pushkar Singh DhamiPushkar Singh Dhami expressed confidence of winning all seven seats in Delhi and urged party workers and people to support the party on May 25.

Slogans and songs echoed in the lanes of Laxmi Nagar’s Priyadarshini Vihar as BJP’s East Delhi candidate Harsh Malhotra started his roadshow to file his Lok Sabha poll nomination Wednesday. He was accompanied by Uttarakhand CM Pushkar Singh.

Addressing the gathering, Dhami said, “There is close connection between Delhi and Devbhoomi Uttarakhand… East Delhi has been a stronghold of BJP since the Jan Sangh era and we all have to bring Modi ji for third time with 400 paar.”

Taking a dig at the INDIA bloc, AAP and Congress, Dhami added, “…While PM Narendra Modi is working towards to make India vishwaguru, Congress wants to abolish the reservation system in the country and give their rights to one particular religion… They are talking about accepting Muslim personal law instead of Uniform Civil Code… UCC has been implemented successfully in Uttarakhand. If you elect BJP again, it will be implemented across the country…”

Further, the CM expressed confidence of winning all seven seats in Delhi and urged party workers and people to support the party on May 25.

Meanwhile, Malhotra said, his first priority if he wins will be to construct houses for slum dwellers under the ‘jahan jhuggi wahin makaan’ scheme and cleaning the Yamuna. “I will work to fulfill the PM’s vision… and construct 4,000 flats in my constituency… The AAP government is in the MCD now and they have been in power in Delhi for the last 10 years, but the height of garbage mountain is only increasing… they said it will be removed last year, now are saying it will take two more years…,” he added.

Malhotra, who replaced incumbent MP Gautam Gambhir, will be contesting against AAP’s Kuldeep Kumar.
