Dates for Mayor elections announced

Notifications have been issued for the election of Mayors,deputy mayors and six members of the Standing Committee in each corporation. The last date of nominations is April 26. The first meetings of the three Houses — North,East and South Delhi — are scheduled for April,30,May 1 and May 2,respectively.

The meeting of the North Delhi Corporation to elect Mayor will be on April 30 at the Civic Centre,while that for East Delhi will be held at its headquarters in Patparganj on May 1 and for South Delhi on May 2 at the Civic Centre. Parties can withdraw names any time before commencement of the elections for the respective posts.
