Cow vigilante Monu Manesar gets bail in Pataudi murder attempt case

(File)The court of additional sessions judge Jasbir Singh here Thursday granted bail to cow vigilante Mohit Yadav, commonly known as Monu Manesar, in an attempt to murder case registered in Pataudi police station in February last year.
However, Monu will remain in jail as Deeg police arrested him in the murder case of Junaid and Nasir, residents of Ghatmika in Rajasthan.
In October, Gurgaon police had brought Manesar from a Rajasthan jail to Gurgaon on a production warrant.

Police remand papers stated that during the probe, Monu confessed to his involvement in the incident.
“The accused stated that he fired a shot during the clash. To recover the weapon used to commit the offence, he was taken into police custody… The accused procured the rifle from Lokendra gun house in Civil Lines, Gurgaon and the gun was taken into police possession,” it stated.
On October 16, Monu was granted bail by a Nuh court for a hate speech case ahead of the Jalabhishek yatra in Nalhar temple on August 28.
