The Dwarka Court Bar Association,which was on strike for two weeks over Delhi governments decision to shift six police stations from its jurisdiction,on Thursday suspended their protest after Delhi High Court assured them of sympathetic consideration.

New Delhi:The Dwarka Court Bar Association,which was on strike for two weeks over Delhi governments decision to shift six police stations from its jurisdiction,on Thursday suspended their protest after Delhi High Court assured them of sympathetic consideration. The lawyers body said the strike by Dwarka court advocates,which was launched on March 1,stands suspended as a result of intervention by the High Court.

Girl,mother consume acid; case against autorickshaw driver

Faridabad:A woman died while her daughter was admitted to a hospital after the two consumed acid,allegedly due to constant harassment by an autorickshaw driver who was infatuated by the girl and wanted to marry her. While the mother died during treatment at Escorts Hospital on Wednesday,the girl is in a serious condition and is being treated at B K Hospital,police said.
