Delhi Traffic Restrictions Today: Thousands of devotees are expected to throng ponds and ghats in Delhi as they celebrate Chhath Puja on Monday. The celebrations will start from Monday afternoon and culminate on Tuesday morning. Special traffic arrangements are in place to tackle the congestion expected across Delhi, the traffic police said.

Here’s what the Delhi Police said in its traffic advisory

1) Heavy congestion is expected near major ponds and ghats in most parts of Delhi.

2) Key roads likely to face heavy traffic include MB Road, Kalindi Kunj Khadar Road, Agra Canal Road, and Road no. 13.

3) Traffic diversions will be enforced in areas such as Bhajanpura, Gandhi Nagar, and Khajuri Khas.

4) Commuters have been advised to plan their journeys in advance and use public transport, especially the Delhi Metro.

5) Roadside parking near ghats should be avoided, said the police.

6) The police have urged the public to report any suspicious person or object to security personnel immediately and to stay updated through official Delhi Traffic Police channels.
