Accidental appeal
The idiot box does not only provide us with our daily dose of laughs, tears and entertainment but also poses examples of dedication. Actor Raunak Ahuja, who acts in Star One’s new show Yeh Ishq Haye, recently met with a road accident that lead to a hairline fracture in his ribs. Even after being advised bed rest, the actor reported on the sets of the show and completed his scenes, with plenty of help from the unit. Storyteller
After creating a niche for himself in theatre and cinema,Makarand Deshpande is now eyeing television. Deshpande plays the bicycle-riding sutradhar in Zee TV’s show Bhagowali- Baatein Apni Taqdeer and narrates a story based in

Uttar Pradesh. We only hope that his rustic appeal, great baritone and acting skills do not get side-lined like they did in the film Swades.
