Vivek Sharma played a match-winning innings of 36 runs and his knock along with contributions from Amit Kumar (34),and Pankaj Tanwar (2/12) helped Jawahar Bal Bhavan Mandi crush Gyan Kunj School by 8 wickets in the 11th Jawahar Bal Bhawan U-14 cricket tournament at Jawahar Bal Bhavan Mandi. Chasing a paltry target of 104 in twenty overs,Jawahar Bal Bhawan hardly broke a sweat as they won with 6 overs to spare.

Sunny Kumar delivered a fine all-round display (61 runs and 2/12) for Kunal XI and that effort along with those of Nikhil Kumar (35) and Kunal (4/13) enabled Kunal XI to get the better of SAP by 7 wickets in the 2nd Najafgarh T-20 League Cricket tournament at Najafgarh sports complex.

Easy win for future CA
It proved to be an easy 38 run win for Future Cricket Academy over GRM Academy in the 1st GRM cricket tournament after some good batting by Ajay Sudan (67) and effective bowling by Abhinash (3/6) and Abhinav Kalra (2/7). In a low scoring match that was held at Rahnola Ground,GRM were dismissed for 97 in 27 overs chasing a total of 135 set by Future CA in 30 overs. Sumit Nisal who performed admirably for GRM academy with a bowling analysis of 3/6 and a batting score of 38 had to end in the losers camp.

Akash impressive in win
Akash Verma scored a half century and took 3 wickets (65 and 3/22) while Anish Jain also came good in an all-round role (30 and 3/28) to guide Green Field Academy to a narrow 2 wicket win over Haryana Cricket Academy in the 1st PL Vergish Cricket tournament at Bhadurgarh ground. Haryana Academy will be ruing they did not utilise their entire 40 overs while batting considering they were dismissed with two overs to go,while Green Field Academy only had five balls left in their innings.

St Gregorius through qlfs
St.Gregorious School,Dwarka won the West Zone qualifiers being held for the Mir Iqbal Husain Trophy Sub-Junior National which concluded at St.Marks School,Meera Bagh. In the final,St.Gregorious defeated Govt.Senior Secondar School,Mundka 3-2 in the sudden death tie-brekar session. Earlier in the semi-final matches,St.Greorious School defeated Venketeshwara International School 3-0 in tie-breaker while in other semi-final,Govt.Senior Sec. School,Mundka beat Shah International School,Pashim Vihar 2 – 0.
Ankit scalps four
Ankit Kumar (4/18) and Gulshan Kumar (3/11)came good in the bowling department while Ajay Kumar (36) and Govind (33) performed with the bat to take GM Academy to a thumping 9 wicket win over Goyal Cricket Academy in the Pratibha Talent cricket tournament. Goyal Academy were shot out for 76 and chasing that paltry total,GM hardly expended themselves as they utilised all of 23 overs to chase down that mark.

Singh leads with 5-under
Gaurav Pratap Singh of Noida fired a five under 67 at the Jaypee Greens golf course on Wednesday to lead after round one of the LG Race to Ireland. Gurki Shergill,Arjun Singh,Vikrant Chopra and Amandeep Johl are one stroke off the lead in tied second.Gaurav Pratap Singh made a brilliant start to the week with a round of 67 that featured seven birdies and two bogeys. Gaurav made birdies on the fourth,fifth,eighth,11th,13th,14th,17th and dropped bogeys on the 10th and 15th. Gurki Shergill,Arjun Singh,Vikrant Chopra and Amandeep Johl share second place at four under 68. Vivek Bhandari,Raj Randhawa,Manav Jaini,Abhishek Jha,Rafick Ali Mollah,Mukesh Kumar and R Murthy are a further stroke behind in tied sixth place.
Delhi soccer veteran dies
Former Delhi State footballer Prof. Neb Raj passed away on November 1 at his residence in Rajinder Nagar,New Delhi following a prolonged illness. Prof. Bhatia aged 86 years is survived by his wife,two married sons and a married daughter. Prof. Bhatia started his career as a centre-forward with Delhi’s Frontiers Club in the year 1949. After his playing career,he taught Spanish at Delhi University.
