Gang of highway robbers busted
With the arrest of five persons,the Outer Delhi police claimed to have busted a gang of highway robbers. The gang was previously involved in snatching,robbery and vehicle thefts. Police said the six would rob people at gunpoint on the highway,mainly trucks loaded with foodgrains or other goods. Police seized a weapon,five live cartridges and a motorcycle from their possession.

Houses to be numbered for census data
The Municipal Corporation of Delhi will begin numbering the newly developed colonies and houses in the Capital from next week to gather data for the national census 2011. The move will ensure the newly developed colonies and houses are assigned a number to help in collection of census data and to bring more people under MCD’s tax net.

Fix sewage problem at Hero Honda Chowk: DC
GURGAON: Deputy commissioner Rajender Kataria visited the Hero Honda Chowk and directed officers concerned to find a permanent solution to the sewerage problem near the green belt. Till such time,he said,a temporary solution should be worked out for early relief. The HUDA is laying a sewerage line up to its treatment plant in Behrampur. The work has been delayed due to stay on a piece of land measuring nearly 100 sq metres. Kataria said he would try to get the stay vacated as the sewerage line was in the larger interest.
