ee burglaries in Dwarka
Three flats were found burgled in Amulya Apartments in Dwarka Sector 18-B on Thursday. The value of all the items stolen from the flats is estimated to be Rs 8 to 10 lakh. According to the police,the burglars attempted to break the locks of six flats in the six-storeyed apartment complex but could manage to enter only three. Police are examining the footage of CCTV installed in the complex.
Spurious liquor: Toll now 28
Ghaziabad: The hooch tragedy claimed three more lives on Friday taking the toll to 28. The police had sealed the government outlet from which the deceased allegedly bought the spurious liquor. While the police claimed the outlet was burnt down on Thursday night by angry villagers,the villagers alleged it was burnt by those who did not want the liquor to be tested as the samples kept were sealed in the outlet. An inquiry is on and we are yet to identify who burnt the shop, SP rural,Captain M M Baig,said.
Property dealer found dead
Greater Noida: A property dealer was found dead in Dadha village of Greater Noida Thursday evening. According to the police,Ajaypal,40,went out of the home after he received a call from an acquaintance around 7 pm on Wednesday. When he did not turn up on night,his relatives informed the police, the officer said.
2 die in accident
An NRI and his sister died after the car they were travelling collided with a call centre cab in Vasant Kunj. According to the police,the incident occurred around 1.30 am on Thursday when Karma Khurana and his sister were on way to their house in Green Avenue. A case has been registered.
