The police then registered a case under sections 74 (criminal force against woman), 75(2) (sexual harassment), 75 (3) (sexually coloured remarks) and 351 (2) (criminal intimidation) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS).
An assistant professor at a Delhi-based government hospital has been arrested for allegedly harassing a female student on the campus, Delhi Police said.
According to the police, the incident took place on Friday following which the student made a PCR call to the police.
“A PCR call was received…at 12.09 pm September 26 by a female MBBS student. The complainant informed the emergency officer that she was physically harassed by … (the) assistant professor,” DCP (Shahdara) Prashanth Priya Gautam said.
