Arvind Kejriwal rests,calm before D-Day

The fate of his nascent Aam Aadmi Party will be decided on Sunday. His own,as Delhi’s prospective Chief Minister,hangs in the balance. A day before what may turn out to be the most momentous day of his life,Kejriwal chose to keep the work to a minimum.

Party sources said that Kejriwal,who had left for a Vipassana Centre out of the city on the day of voting itself,returned to Delhi around 10 am on Saturday morning. “The only party business that was lined up was a national executive committee meeting,which was held to discuss the course of action tomorrow. Immediately,after that he went home to rest. Even during the last few days of campaigning,Arvindji was not well and was coughing continuously. The next few days,whatever the outcome,will be gruelling,so he went to relax with his family,” a party source said.

Once home,Kejriwal spent the evening quietly with his wife and two children,sources said.

AAP officials said the party intended to celebrate at Jantar Mantar in case it gets a majority, provided they get necessary permission. “This is an impromptu plan,and is only possible when we win,and if we get permission. Otherwise,our leaders will speak to the media either at Constitution Club or at the Hanuman Road party office,” a senior leader said.
