Around Town; DoE issues order on admissions

New Delhi: The elections for the Delhi Bar Association were called off on Wednesday midway,after the polling process was disrupted by anti-social elements posing as lawyers. The elections to the District Bar Association executive committee have now been re-scheduled for February 1. Delhi Bar Association president Rajiv Khosla said: “More than hundred people dressed as lawyers came inside the polling area at Tis Hazari district courts complex and tried to disturb the election procedure.” The people were neither advocates nor law graduates,said Khosla.

Itr & Sugandhi Festival to start today

NEW DELHI: The Itr and Sugandhi Festival,being organised by Delhi Tourism at Dilli Haat-Pitampura,will kickstart in the Capital on Thursday. The event,which will be on till Sunday,will be held in technical collaboration with the Fragrance and Flavour Development Centre,Essential Oil Association of India and Fragrance and Flavour Association of India. “There will be a demonstration on the art and science behind the process of rose water distillation. You will also get to see how aggarbattis and dhoopbattis are made,” said a Delhi Tourism official.
