3 held for CR Park robbery

“He went down to the ground floor and found Archana,the house owner,tied to the bed. She told him that two men had entered the house around 2.45 am and overpowered her. One gold chain,a bangle and a mobile phone were stolen by the assailants. A case was registered and investigation taken up,” Additional Commissioner of Police (Southeast) Ajay Chawdhary said.

The police got a tip-off and laid a trap,following which the three were arrested.

During questioning,Naba Kumar told police that he and Mrityunjay had hatched a plan to rob the house of a senior citizen.

“They got information about the house from a woman who used to be a domestic help at Archana’s house. The help is Kumar’s girlfriend,” Chawdhary said.
