A 27-year-old driver was stabbed to death near his residence in West Delhi’s Nangloi area early on Tuesday morning. According to police,the victim has been identified as Ashish Kumar who used to drive a goods carrier in Paschim Vihar.
Kumar was returning home when a few unidentified men attacked him around 12.30 am,police said. A passerby spotted him and made a PCR call,police said. He had been stabbed four times on his thigh. We immediately rushed him to the Sanjay Gandhi Memorial Hospital where he was declared dead on arrival, a senior police officer said.
Police found Kumars mobile phone,a wallet containing
Rs 100 cash and his watch at the spot. The officer further said,
A case has been registered and we have questioned a few people who live in the area. The motive behind the murder has not been established.
