A sub-inspector (SI) attached to the Upparpet traffic police station was caught by the Lokayukta police Tuesday while accepting bribe from an auto-rickshaw driver. The police said Sudheendra had sought Rs 2,000 from the driver,Surendra of Madavara,to return original documents of his vehicle,which was seized on September 8 for wrong parking,refusing fares,demanding excess fare and not having a permit to ply.
