The projects include the construction of a new bus stand at Vembakkam in Chengalpattu district at a cost of Rs 97 crore. Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin laid foundation stones on Wednesday for six projects of the Chennai Metropolitan Development Authority worth Rs 150 crore.
The projects include the construction of a new bus stand at Vembakkam in Chengalpattu district at a cost of Rs 97 crore, upgrade of the Ambattur bus stand at a cost of Rs 13.85 crore, the construction of rehabilitation centre for disabled people as well as a dialysis centre at Kondithope in north Chennai at a cost of Rs 11.50 crore.
The construction of a new park at a cost of Rs 10.30 crore at Koyambedu Road Junction, a new indoor sports stadium at a cost of Rs 8.75 crore near the Mundakanniyamman temple in Mylapore and the development of the Kasimedu beach space at a cost of Rs 8.65 crore are the other new projects.
As Stalin laid the foundation stone via videoconferencing from the secretariat, Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises Thamo Anbarasan, Hindu Religious and Charitable Endowments Minister PK Sekar Babu, Chief Secretary Shiv Das Meena and other senior officials were also present at the event.
