Yash sets up DPACA triumph

A fine knock of 47 runs by Yash propelled Desh Prem Azad Coaching Academy to an emphatic 93-run win over Coaching Centre,Panchkula in a league match of the Stepping Stones trophy being played at Stepping Stones School on Thursday.

DPACA won the toss and elected to bat first. Batting first,DPACA posted a total of 183 runs for the loss of four wickets in the allotted 25 overs. Yash was the top scorer for the team as he played a knock of 47 runs. Akash played a knock of 32 runs while Ritik made 28 runs. In reply,Panchkula Coaching Centre were bundled out for a total of 90 runs in 20.4 overs. As many as five of their batsmen were run out. Chinkey was the top scorer as he played a knock of 35 runs. For the winning team,Arjun Aggarwal claimed one wicket for 16 runs. In the other match of the day,NICS,Patiala scored a 26-run win over MCM Blue Caps Cricket Academy. Batting first,NICS,Patiala posted a total of 160 runs for the loss of four wickets in 25 overs. Jashan played a knock of 70 runs while Arsh contributed 33 runs. Chasing a target of 161 runs in the allotted 25 overs,MCM Blue Caps Cricket Academy could manage a total of 134 runs. Paras was the top scorer for the team as he played a knock of 43 runs. For the winning team,Arshdeep claimed three wickets for 26 runs.
