Woman found dead in Mohali

While Charanjit’s parents alleged murder,Darshan claimed it was a “natural death” following a severe allergic reaction. The police are waiting for the viscera examination report,which will establish the cause of death,before proceeding further in the case.

Darshan told the police that Charanjit had gone to sleep as usual after taking her meals on Tuesday night but around midnight,she complained of a severe allergic reaction and asked for water. Darshan served her a glass of water,following which she went back to sleep. In the morning,Charanjit was found dead.

Charanjit’s mother Baldev Kaur alleged that blood was oozing out of Charanjit’s nose and there were some injury marks on her body,which the police denied.

She further claimed that the couple had been arguing recently after Darshan had refused to make a fixed deposit in the name of children after earning Rs 3 lakh from a land deal. The police have initiated inquest proceedings under Sections 174 of the CrPC. The body was handed over to Baldev Kaur after postmortem.
