‘With recession,higher education is now a realistic option ’

Canadian Education Consultancy Services (CECS),an education consultancy services provider based in Sector 35,plans to organise education and career fairs in colleges at Fatehgarh Sahib,Kharar,Ludhiana and Amritsar from April 13 to 16.

“The fair is aims at providing students interested in exploring education and career opportunities in Canada,an opportunity to interact directly with representatives of various institutions and understand the prospects and feasibility of joining,” said Parvinder Singh Burn,Chief Executive Officer (South Asia),Canadian Education Consultancy Services.

He added that the event will facilitate on-the-spot admissions to deserving students and offers free admissions to reputed Canadian government institutes as well.

“About 3,000 Indian students enrolled in Canadian institutions last year. With the recession setting in,the most realistic option is to opt for higher education. Among the advantages that Canada offers to students is the fact that Canadian degrees and diplomas are instantly recognised around the world as being of the highest standard and students get on the fast track to the job market and permanent residence,” added Burn.

The series of fairs will start from Baba Banda Singh Bahadur Engineering College in Fatehgarh Sahib on Monday,followed by the Canadian delegation moving to Rayat-Bahra College in Kharar on April 14,

Guru Nanak Engineering College,Ludhiana,on April 15 and Amritsar College of Engineering and Technology,Amritsar on April 16.
