Wheels of change

The Chandigarh leg of the Avon Big Greenathon is set to roll out on December 6. The Greenathon,a joint initiative of Big 92.7 FM and Avon Cycles,will engage the citizens across India to a pledge to cycle to work at least once in a week. The radio station has crafted the Greenathon for all its 45 stations throughout the country. At Chandigarh,RJ Anubhav will lead the Greenathon at Sarovar Path on Monday. Prominent sportspersons and bureaucrats of the city will pedal along with the radio jockey.

“The idea of Greenathon came from our listeners. The idea is to bring a small change in the way we all live and if each one of us contributes,then the results would really be exceptional. The greenathon is being organized to contribute to the well-being of the environment and the respiratory health of people,but also we can greatly increase our overall physical health,” said Sukhdeep Sohal,Cluster Head,Punjab,92.7 BIG FM.
