Nothing can beat a mussaenda and poinsettia for long duration flowering bonanza. Now when the former is putting forth new bracts,the latter is shedding them after giving colour all through the winter. This is the time to multiply poinsettia. Stop watering and let the deep scarlet petals fall. It is multiplied by way of cuttings. The cutting has to be hard and is the lower part of a stem. The terminal part of the stem is hollow and cannot be used as cutting.
The Nilgiri grass in my lawn has lot of wild grass (booti). Please suggest a suitable treatment. Also,I want to plant good quality Papaya (disco variety),a small type of mango tree (Dusehri mango) and good lemon tree. Please tell me the varieties along with the planting time.

I think you havent mentioned the kind of grass properly. Nilgiri grass forms such a thick turf that it does not let any other growth come through it. However,spraying 2,4-D (sodium salt) will help keep the weed population under check. Take care not to let even the drift of the chemical fall on other vegetation. Eat a good papaya and wash its seed under running water. Sow after drying under shade. You will get a similar fruit. There is no small mango variety and those who say so are trying to sell you a tree. For lemon,multiply by tying gooti from one of the good lemon or buy from a source where you can see the performance of the mother plant. The planting time is July-August.

If you have got the tree from a reliable source of the known variety,then there is no question of its quality being different or low. If it is a seedling tree with pungent fruit then it is better to get rid of it and plant a grafted guava of known variety like Allahabad Safeda or Amulaya.

Yes,you can graft as many types on the same plant as you want and have different type of fruits.
I want to raise Golden Duranta hedge on the outside berm of my house. Is it a suitable plant for this purpose?

Yes but make sure there is no underground line as the service people may come any day to uproot it for mending some fault.
